Fun Fact

When Allan ask me to high school prom (before we officially started dating) he started out by say "Alyssa Mayes, I don't know if you know this or not, but I really, really like you" 4 years later he asked me to marry him by starting out with those very same words.

I married my high school sweetheart

Allan and I met working at the fast food restaurant "Culver's" when I was just 15. We quickly became best friends and bonded over our weirdness and sense of humor. We dated for 6 years and got married in August of 2014. It's crazy to think that we have been together almost 10 years and I'm only 25! I'm incredibly blessed to have found Allan so young. He is my biggest encourager, he pushes me everyday to be my best and believe that I can accomplish anything I want to with a little hard work and determination. Cheesy, I know, but we both had to fight to get to where we are now. Everyday we get a little closer to our dream of buying a home and starting a family.

 I love summer

My absolute favorite season is summer. One of the main reasons is because I don't have to wear pants. (I didn't mean to make this weird.) I just love wearing dresses. I would say a wear dresses 80% of the time in summer. It's just so easy to look cute and be comfy in a dress. Other reasons why I love summer; It's the best time to go to the beach, go hiking, paddle boarding, sailing, bike rides, eat ice cream, plus everyone is happier.

Fun Fact

Allan and I did a lip sync battle at our wedding and I choreographed a small dance with my best friends as a surprise.

i wish I could dance

I love to dance, but I have no rhythm. Watching shows like "so you think you can dance" and "america's got talent" make me wish I took dance lessons from an early age. It's such a cool skill to have. Though, I don't have the moves like the pros, I still happy dance around my home, at weddings, and occasionally in the aisles of target.
